About
About Resume Wizard
Resume Wizard is an independent resume builder made in Toronto since 2023. One small team builds the product, writes every page on this site, and answers the support inbox.
What it is
The core product is a free online builder: you fill in a structured form, pick one of twelve templates, and watch a print-accurate preview update as you type. The preview is paginated by the same engine that produces the PDF, so the page you see is the page you download, not an approximation of it. Building, editing, and previewing are free with no account; signing in adds cloud saves and free downloads, and a single Premium plan removes the download limit.
Around the builder sits a library we maintain ourselves: complete resume examples by job title and situation, each one editable in the builder; short answers to the resume questions everyone hits; and free tools such as the ATS resume checker, which score your document against checks defined in code and show every result without a signup gate.
Who makes it
Resume Wizard is built and run by a small team in Toronto, Canada. Everything published here, from the example resumes to the tool explanations, is written and reviewed by that team under one editorial name, the Resume Wizard Editorial Team. We publish under the brand rather than individual bylines on purpose: the work is collective, the standards are the same on every page, and one name is easier to hold accountable than a rotating cast. How each kind of page is made, and what we promise about it, is set out on the editorial process page.
The site is operated by 1000385722 Ontario Corp., doing business as Resume Wizard, the same entity named in our terms and privacy policy.
How it is funded
One thing pays for Resume Wizard: the Premium plan, described in full on the pricing page. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored content, no paid placements in the examples or tools, and no resume-writing service upsell. When a page here recommends a product, it is our own builder, and it says so plainly. That keeps the advice simple: we have no reason to tell you anything other than what gets a resume read.
What we do with your resume
As little as possible. The free tools score pasted text in your browser; it never leaves your device. Uploaded files are read once for text extraction and are not stored. Optional AI feedback sends your text to our server and to Anthropic's API once to produce the review, and we keep counts, never content. Resumes you save in the builder belong to you, are never sold, and can be deleted from the editor at any time. The privacy policy has the full account.
Contact
Questions, corrections, and support all go to the same inbox: support@resumewizard.app. A person on the team reads every message. If you spot an error on any page, the corrections process explains what happens next.
